Hire agreements & e-signatures
Send a contract for customers to sign online, and keep a signed PDF on file.
Lettably can send customers your hire agreement to read and sign online — typed name plus a drawn signature — and keep a signed PDF with a full audit trail (date, name, and IP address).
Write your agreement
Go to Admin → Contract. There's a sensible UK hire agreement to start from, which you can edit freely. Use {{merge fields}} (like the customer's name, dates, and total) to fill in each booking's details automatically when it's sent.
Send it & track signing
- Open the booking and press 'Send agreement'. The customer gets an email with a secure link.
- They read it, type their name, draw a signature, and confirm.
- The booking shows it as signed, and you can download the signed PDF any time.
Options
- Require a signature only on bookings above a value you set (or on every booking).
- Show a 'Browse the shop' button after signing, linking wherever you like.
- The agreement is sent separately from the booking detail form, so the two never get muddled.
