FAQ
Common questions.
- Is there really no commission on bookings?
- Correct. Lettably charges a flat monthly fee — that's it. We don't take a percentage of your bookings. The only third-party fee is Stripe's standard payment processing on the deposits you collect (around 1.5% + 20p for UK cards).
- What happens during the 14-day free trial?
- You get full access to whichever plan you pick — no credit card required. Use it as long as you like up to 14 days. At the end you can pick a paid plan or cancel; we keep your data for 60 days in case you change your mind.
- Can I switch plans later?
- Yes, any time. Upgrade and you only pay the prorated difference for the rest of the month. Downgrade and the change takes effect at your next billing date — no penalties.
- Will it work with my WordPress / Squarespace / Shopify site?
- Yes. Lettably is an embed widget — anywhere you can paste a script tag, the booking flow appears. We support WordPress, Squarespace, Shopify, Wix, Webflow, and plain HTML. No site rebuild required.
- What about VAT?
- Lettably handles UK VAT calculations automatically. Set your registration number in Settings and prices on the widget include or exclude VAT to your preference.
- Where is my data stored?
- EU (Frankfurt) — same region most UK businesses prefer for GDPR. Daily backups are retained for 30 days. We never share or sell customer data, full stop.
- What if I need a feature you don't have yet?
- Tell us. We're a small team building this for real hire businesses, so feedback shapes the roadmap. The Custom plan also includes bespoke development time per quarter.
